Wow did we ever have a busy Easter weekend! I am going to have some awesome posts for you guys over the next 2 weeks involving some crazy projects both indoors and out! Here’s a little sneak peek, can you guess what we’ve been up too inside??
Easter itself we had a blast! We went over to Charles’ parents house and even had my parents over for a fun-filled family day! We put on an egg hunt for Anna and savoured a large turkey dinner afterwards. It was amazing watching how into the hunt Anna was; she did such a great job finding almost all the eggs by herself and sometimes with just a point in the right direction!
Once she found all the eggs she had fun putting the eggs from one basket into the other and sorting them by colour.
And the grandparents had fun feeding her chocolates…
We also have a tradition of taking a family photo each Easter after our egg hunt.
It’s crazy to compare it to our photo from last year, 2011!
After the egg hunt we all went inside to finish up dinner and visit. Anna had fun opening her eggs and playing with the various trinkets inside. There were some crayons, stickers, and various toddler worthy snacks.
Check out these super cool crayons that grandma had found! They can even stack on top of each other and spin. I think Charles and I had more fun playing with them then Anna hahaha.
I also tried to get a picture of Anna wearing her bunny ears but she didn’t like them too much. This was the best I could get. Maybe next year!
Finally the day came to a close with a delicious turkey feast complete with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, tossed salad, roasted brussel sprouts, carrots, and hot cross buns! Yumm!
How did you guys spend your Easter? Anyone else starting on any crazy projects around their house or garden? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
