Well, I must say I’m sorry, I was supposed to have some sort of awesome post for you guys today featuring one of my latest projects but sadly none of them are ready! I have a few various things on the go but things keep coming up and I can’t work on them as much as I like; hopefully I’ll be finished them by next week so stay tuned for those!
As such for a post today I decided instead I would take you on a walk through what would be the essential parts of my dream home!
Let’s start in the kitchen shall we? In a kitchen I crave dark woods, large sinks, a gorgeous island, tons of work space, and a fabulous range. This kitchen makes my heart go pitter patter. I love the industrial lighting, large window over the sink, and rustic accents.
For these next few images you’ll have to forgive me, they were before the era of pinterest when images were saved to our computer and I no longer have the sources.
Isn’t this kitchen just grand? Check out all that work room! And I’m head over heels for the contrasting island.
And check out this gorgeous range hood with the amazing tile backing! And don’t even get me started on that perfect little dining nook!
And speaking of nooks, every fabulous house has to have a few…
Like a cozy breakfast nook….
Or perhaps a reading nook…
Now let’s meander into the actual living room shall we? Any living area of mine would have to have tall ceilings, huge windows, and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace.
This space I would have to cozy up a bit more with a rug, plusher couches, and some cozy throws but the fireplace, cedar shakes, & chandelier is just grand!
While I feel this fireplace could use a little work with a better mantel, and the room could use some bigger windows, all the rustic woodwork is just to die for!

The last place I would like to show off in my dream home would have to be the master ensuite. No dream home is complete without an ensuite consisting of his & her sinks, gorgeous tile, and a huge shower and tub.
I hope you enjoyed my little tour today! What would your dream home consist of?

We seem to have similar taste in design. Now just to pony up the 750k+ to build it.
